It was an honor to talk to her about This Poison Heart, her botanical dark fantasy about deadly plants and generational magic.

The people Briseis meets in Rhinebeck continue to up the ante. As the story is told in first person through Bri’s point-of-view, readers learn more deeply about her mindset, her relationship with her parents, and the effect her powers have on her self-image (in both positive and negative ways).
